Weapons charges have been laid against two people in Saskatoon after a bear spray incident.
Police say a man was assaulted after refusing to give up his cell phone to three would-be thieves.
The victim escaped the altercation just before 5 o’clock Wednesday afternoon in the 25-hundred block of 18th Street West by fleeing to a nearby school and all three suspects were arrested without incident.
Police say the man suspected in the attack allegedly sprayed the victim.
In addition to the weapons offenses the 22-year-old is charged with robbery and assault.
A 29-year-old woman is also charged with robbery and assault as well as possession of methamphetamine.
The third suspect was released without charges.
