All six tentative collective bargaining agreements for the Crown Corporations were reached over the weekend. The Crown Investments Corporation and Unifor have not released the details. That won’t happen until after the union members hold their ratification votes. The votes will take place over the next few weeks. The CIC says it will take a few days before everything returns to normal, in terms of company operations at the six crowns. The strike by nearly five thousand workers lasted 17 days. At one point, SaskTel said that Unifor had told its members to flood the SaskTel Contact Centres with fictitious calls causing delays for customers. The company also reported incidents of vandalism that, in some cases, were considered extremely dangerous and others where concern was raised about customer’s being able to communicate in an emergency.
