Less than 24 hours after the Liberals and its leader Justin Trudeau won the election with a minority government, Premier Scott Moe is sending him a letter requesting some changes to help the prairies.
Moe heard what Trudeau said in his post election speech about the frustration of the people of Saskatchewan and Alberta and the fact that he wants to be there to support the western provinces. Premier Moe says he can support them by cancelling the carbon tax, restructuring the equalization formula to make them fair for all provinces and coming up with a new deal that would allow Saskatchewan to get its products and resources to market.
Moe says the results of last night’s election speaks to the division of the policies over the course of the last four years and the need for changes to be made. (CKRM)
