Conservative Leader Andrew Scheer talked to Liberal Leader Justin Trudeau on the phone last night (Mon) and told him he has to take notice of what happened in Alberta and Saskatchewan with no Liberals voted in either province and that he must be willing to stop his attacks on the energy sector and recognize the fact that if Western Canada succeeds, all of Canada succeeds.
Scheer says he is disappointed his Party couldn’t wrestle power away from the Liberals there were encouraging signs from the election results including the fact more Tories were elected than in 2015 and more people actually voted for his party than the Liberal Party. Scheer promises the Conservatives will hold the minority Liberal government to account.
He believes Canadians woke up this morning to a more divided country especially in Western Canada where talk of separation is heating up in the wake of what occurred last night.
