The Tune-up Assistance Program run by SaskEnergy is underway across the province. Low-income homeowners will be receiving free examinations and servicing of their furnaces and home heating systems. Furnace technician Andrew McCann says some furnaces that he works on are in rough shape because of a lack of preventative maintenance. 60 SaskEnergy network members will be conducting home heating servicing to about 400 homes in 31 communities across Saskatchewan.
