A 40 year old man was taken to hospital by Medavie Health Services after he alleged being assaulted by eight or nine kids. Saskatoon Police say they were called out around ten o’clock last night (wed) to 22nd Street and Avenue I on a 911 call. A K-9 unit tracked the scent for several blocks where they found patrol officers dealing with five individuals. Officers have charged two 12 year old boys, two 14 year old boys, and a 19 year old man with robbery, weapons charges, and breaches. They are in court this afternoon. Police are still looking for the other suspects. Anyone with information is asked to contact police or Crime Stoppers. The victim’s injuries are not life-threatening.
Just before six o’clock last night, someone reported to police that he was threatened by a man with a knife on the 200 block of 2nd Avenue South. Officers from the Bike Unit were in the area and found a suspect in possession of a knife. He was arrested and charged with Assault with a Weapon. He is in court today.
A 24 year old man suffered a broken leg after being struck by a vehicle. It happened just before ten o’clock Wednesday night at Taylor Street East and Jackson Avenue. Saskatoon Police say the victim was taken to hospital by Medavie health Services. The drive was charged with Failure to Yield to a Pedestrian.
