Stolen Truck
Saskatoon Police are on the hunt for an individual believed to have stolen a truck out of Regina and also involved in recent break and enters and thefts of gas. Just before 10 Thursday morning, a patrol officer saw the vehicle and tried to pull it over, it didn’t. A stud belt was laid out and the vehicle was abandoned in a parking lot in the 200 block of Betts Avenue where the driver had gotten and out took off into a nearby store. The suspect hasn’t been tracked down yet.
Gas and Dash
Saskatoon Police say they believe a man who deployed bear spray inside a gas station in the 16 hundred block of Idylwyld North around 7 a.m. Wednesday morning was also responsible for a gas and dash. Police say the employee wasn’t hurt in the first incident which happened when the suspect was told the gas station didn’t have a particular brand of cigarettes. The suspect sprayed bear spray then jumped into the passenger seat of a waiting black jeep. The same vehicle is suspected in a gas and dash in the 13 hundred block of Central Avenue. Police say the Jeep was reported stolen from Cutknife on Tuesday.
The suspect is described as approximately 20-years-old, 5’9″ in height with a thin build. He was wearing a black and red plaid button up jacket, a white hoodie, dark grey sweat pants and a bright blue toque.
