The Saskatoon Fire Department responded to a report of a house on fire in the 100 block of Olmstead Road in the city’s Fairhaven neighbourhood shortly after 3 Saturday afternoon.
Once crews arrived, they found heavy smoke coming from a basement window on the one side of a duplex. Occupants on both sides got out before crews arrived.
Once the blaze was contained, fans were used to clear smoke out of the home.
A cause and damage estimate have not been given at this time. No injuries occurred as a result of the fire.
