The Clarence Campeau Development Fund says an Economic Impact Study suggests the fund has contributed about $79 million in GDP over the past five years. The objective of the fund is to stimulate economic development activities of Metis people and communities. Over the past five years, the fund has financed over $25 million for 190 Metis-owned companies. The economic impact estimates suggest an increase in total output of $144.8 million. The study also noted the investments support 1,312 full-time equivalent jobs.
