It’s the first Jim Pattison Children’s Hospital Foundation Radiothon to be held in the new building and it’s the first ever to be province-wide with 16 radio stations from across the province taking part, including CJWW and sister station 98 Cool. Your donations over the 2-day event will support children, moms-to-be and families who need specialized care.
JPCH Foundation spokesperson, Sash Broda, says just because the hospital is open, doesn’t mean the fundraising stops. Donations will go towards equipment, research, and programming like ongoing art, music and pet therapies. Broda adds that the hospital is more than just a medical facility. It also takes into consideration the environment children and families are in, with lots of windows and bright colours, family spaces, play areas, and even laundry facilities for parents staying with their children.
