Saskatoon-based ZYUS Life Sciences has signed a three-year supply agreement with Fort Erie, Ontario-based Stevens Green. The new partnership will see ZYUS purchasing high-grade bulk raw cannabis material from Stevens Green. The raw cannabis will then be used by ZYUS as raw input material for processing into cannabinoid-based therapeutics. During the first year of the new agreement, up to 1,000kg of dried product is expected to be supplied to ZYUS. Earlier this year, ZYUS signed an agreement with Up Cannabis, another Ontario-based cannabis producer. ZYUS CEO, Brent Zettl says within the near future, his company will be purchasing raw cannabis from three different suppliers. Zettl says adding another supplier help builds a base for which to have reliable sources of material that can then be put into their products. The new agreement may see ZYUS receiving up to a maximum of 10,000kg of dried product annually from Stevens Green during the second and third years of the contract.
