An artist who won this year’s Juno Award for Indigneous Music Album of the Year will be a guest performer at the Saskatoon Symphony Orchestra tomorrow (Sat) night. Jeremy Dutcher is an operatic tenor with Indigenous and jazz influences. The SSO’s executive director, Mark Turner says Dutcher’s performance is a call to action for the music industry to think about how we as Canadians can better celebrate truth through music. The SSO is working with local businesses and tribal councils to get as many Indigenous youth in the audience as possible.
