It was the first ever Radiothon to be held in the Jim Pattison Children’s Hospital and it was the first time it was province-wide with 16 radio stations taking part over 2 days, and the total is a first as well, raising over three-quarters of a million dollars. President and CEO of the JPCH Foundation, Brynn Boback-Lane, revealed the total at $750-thousand-109 to cheers in the main lobby of the hospital, saying Saskatchewan did it again.
The money will go to programs, cutting edge equipment, and I-T enhancements. Boback-Lane says these donations help to make it a reality for kids and moms-to-be to have the best healthcare in the country. She was emotional as she thanked Saskatchewan and said the Foundation is proud and grateful for what everyone has done to make the Jim Pattison Children’s Hospital a reality.
