The driver of a car that collided with a semi tractor-trailer this morning had to be rescued by the Saskatoon Fire Department.

First responder’s had to cut the driver’s door to get at the man trapped inside and say he was taken to hospital in stable condition.

There was no one else in the vehicle.

Fire crews cleaned up the scattered debris before leaving the scene at 58th Street East and Miners Avenue.

The accident happened at about 9 o’clock.
