The digital train has left the station and this was a chance to get on board.
That’s the rationale Saskatoon Media Group General Manager Vic Dubois used for a mutually beneficial arrangement with one of Canada’s fastest growing digital software companies.
It started with a lunch conversation and resulted in a partnership between two complimentary media companies.
Dubois said the exploratory discussion with Vendasta Chief Revenue Officer George Leith led to an agreement that could benefit advertisers on CJWW, 98-COOL and 92.9 THE BULL.
Radio clients will be able to tap into Vendasta’s expertise to improve their websites, Facebook pages or internet presence through twitter or Instagram.
They will get a “report card” that grades their online presence and effectiveness and offers products to improve their internet offerings. Through Vendasta improvements can be monitored and managed through a single dashboard.
Dubois said in addition to providing an extra service to Saskatoon Media Group clients, the deal achieves an important goal for Vendasta.
The company considered one of Canada’s leading digital providers was looking to become more involved in the local economy while teaming up with a multi-platform media partner.
Leith called it a meaningful partnership in the Saskatchewan economy while Dubois termed it as a powerful combination.
Vendasta already employs over 300 people with plans to double their staff in the near future.
