SaskPower has won the Canadian Electricity Association’s Sustainable Electricity Company designation. Only nine Canadian utilities have managed to achieve that distinction. It recognizes companies for complying with established environmental and social responsibility guidelines. Association President Francis Bradley says, “We are honoured to present SaskPower this designation in recognition of all of their hard work and dedication to sustainable power.” SaskPower says it is committed to climate change mitigation and reducing greenhouse gas emissions by at least 40 per cent below 2005 levels by 2030.
