As of September 30th there were 116 fewer students enrolled with the Horizon School Division, compared to the same time last year, but the Director of Education says many communities are seeing growth. Kevin Garinger says there are 6-thousand-343 students enrolled in Pre-Kindergarten to Grade 12, including 93 home-based students and 2 Distance Education students.

Both William Derby School in Strasbourg and Watson School had enrollment increases of 12 students each. Watson School now has 138 students and the Strasbourg school has 229. Humboldt Collegiate is down by 16 students, sitting at 382.
