Between Friday evening and Monday morning, Prince Albert Police responded to 296 calls for service which included a break and enter and a weapons with mischief investigation. Police say a resident reported a suspicious person in his neighbour’s vehicle in the 300 block of 24th Street East early Monday morning.
A suspect was spotted running east and was arrested after short foot chase. Police seized a mask, a long, bladed knife and a 22 calibre handgun. A 30 year old man has been charged.
On Saturday morning, two distinct bicycles were stolen including a teal-coloured 2018 Specialized Rockhopper bike and a grey and green 2019 Trek Marlin 6 WSD.
And on Friday evening a 23 year old man was charged after police were called to the 200 block of 9th Street East Friday evening. Police say a man matching the suspect’s description was seen walking down the street. Officers ended up seizing, allegedly from this man’s person, 4.5 grams of meth, two large machetes, a sawed off gun barrel, two digital scales, three shotgun shells and break-in tools including bolt cutters and a metal file. The 23 year old faces numerous weapons and drug charge.
