The new Prince Albert Police downtown sub-station is officially open.
Officers and staff marched earlier today (Tuesday) to the new location at 40-10th Street East from their 15th Street West headquarters.
The substation has 15-thousand square feet of expanded office and training space accommodating several departments as well as a large gym.
Chief Jonathan Bergen says the substation’s functional design falls in line with their commitment to community policing and building relationships with residents.
The building cost 340-thousand dollars and just over 600-thousand dollars was budgeted for renovations.
