SEIU-West union members will be in the legislature in Regina today as they team up with the NDP to put the Saskatchewan Party government on the hot seat over health care.
President Barbara Cape says, “The public and our members deserve to see a solid commitment from our government to fix under-staffing in front line health care services.” She says, “The lack of a realistic plan to address workloads, and recruitment and retention has left us with too few staff to provide hands-on health care services safely.” Cape blames inadequate compensation for problems in recruitment and retention.
