Saskatoon experienced its first ever JUNO Week 13 years ago, and it’s back in 4 months. March 15th to 19th is JUNO Week and the 49th annual Awards Show at SaskTel Centre is on the 19th. Tickets go on sale this morning (Fri) at 10 o’clock through Ticketmaster and in person at the SaskTel Centre Box Office. The performers and the host have yet to be announced. The nominations for the awards closed last Friday the 8th. At a JUNO event earlier this week, Mayor Charlie Clark suggested Joni Mitchell would be the perfect addition for the Awards show in Saskatoon. He says those that visited Saskatoon will see a big difference in the city with the addition of the Remai Modern and the Wonderhub and the vibrant restaurant scene. A dollar from every ticket sold will be donated to MusiCounts, a music education charity associated with CARAS and the JUNO Awards.
