Health care providers, family members and community advocates are gathering in Regina on Saturday to talk about what CUPE refers to as pressing issues in seniors’ health care. That includes staff shortages, adequate funding, and infrastructure needs. CUPE 5430 is hosting the event which is expected to bring in people from across the province. The keynote address will be given by Doctor Susan Braedley of Carlton University. She will be speaking on a report she wrote entitled, “Crumbling Away: Saskatchewan’s Long-Term Residential Care Policy and its Consequences.”
