It was about a 4 hour standoff. The Saskatoon Police Tactical Support Unit, Crisis Negotiators, K-9 and patrol members responded to the 200 block of 1st Street East around 6 p.m. yesterday (Sat) about a man in a home, possibly armed with a knife. Just after 10, a 38 year old man was safely taken into custody. He is facing 2 charges of assault with a weapon.
