Unionized workers at Regina’s P3 wastewater treatment plant have rejected the latest contract offer.
CUPE Local 7667 members were 69-percent opposed saying the employer insists on a two-tier pay structure leaving Regina workers’ salaries below Alberta employees.
The union says there have been four bargaining sessions but feels staffing levels have decreased while workloads have increased since EPCOR took over the operation from the City of Regina.
CUPE Local 7667 represents 17 workers at the plant.
