A public inquest begins today to look into the death of a 34 year old man who was found unresponsive in his cell at the Prince Albert Police headquarters on May 18th of 2018. Medical personnel tried to save Ryan Kereluk with a defibrillator and using CPR, but he was pronounced dead at the hospital.
Unless the Chief Coroner is satisfied a person’s death was due entirely to natural causes and wasn’t preventable, there i always an inquest into the death of someone who dies while an inmate. The inquest is scheduled to continue through Friday.
