The province’s December oil and gas public offering only managed to generate $3.4 million in revenue for the province. Last year, the sale brought in nearly six times as much. This brings the 2019-20 fiscal year total to $15.2 million. Last year it was $47.3 million and that was the most generated since 2017. There is one more sale to make to close out this fiscal year. That will happen on February 4th. Saskatchewan’s growth plan includes a goal of increasing oil production to 600,000 barrels per day by 2030. To get there, the Sask. Party government says it is trying to create one of the most competitive business environments in North America.
