A pedestrian was struck at 22nd Street and Avenue P overnight (mon). Saskatoon police say patrol officers came across a 40 year-old man laying in the street just after midnight. It’s believed he was struck in the crosswalk by a southbound vehicle. He suffered serious injuries but is in stable condition and police say he is expected to make a full recovery. While officers were at the scene, it’s believed the driver and vehicle involved returned to the scene. But police have said nothing else about that, other than that the investigation continues and no charges have been laid. Restrictions for southbound traffic were lifted by about four o’clock this morning.
Several minor injuries were dealt with at the scene by Medavie Health Services after a two-vehicle collision at 8th Street and Cumberland Avenue. It happened during rush hour Monday afternoon.
