A van police believe had evaded officers earlier Tuesday, was spotted, displaying an incorrect licence plate, around 10 o’clock Tuesday night.

It again refused to stop when officers tried to pull it over and even drove through a chain link fence in the one-thousand block of Avenue I North.

Three tires were deflated using a stud belt and the vehicle came to a halt on Bence Crescent in Westview.

The Canine Unit assisted in tracking a suspect to a nearby home where he was found under a tarp. A 46 year old Ontario man was arrested, charged, and treated for a dog bite. A hunting knife and pepper spray were seized.
