Now that Andrew Scheer has announced his resignation, the rumour mill is circulating as to who his replacement could be.
One of the names being tossed about is that of former Saskatchewan Premier Brad Wall.
Wall says he is flattered, but he has no intentions of seeking the job.
“But I’m just not interested in elected politics. I’m going to continue to be involved in issues commenting on them and, you know, I do some writing.”
He says the issues are important to him and he wants to be involved without actually seeking office.
Wall feels the ideal candidate to replace Scheer for a number of reasons would be former interim party leader Rona Ambrose.
Wall feels Ambrose, who held the position after Stephen Harper resigned, checks off all the right boxes that the party needs to once again form government. (CKRM)
