The Executive Director of the Saskatoon Food Bank and Learning Centre believes the spirit of giving has once again caught on in the community.
Laurie O’Connor says new people have stepped up to join those who contribute every year to their holiday campaign.
O’Connor admits their goals of $500-thousand and 500-thousand pounds of food are ambitious but they are at about 60-percent.
Nutrien is matching cash donations at the Saskatoon facility and the other 32 registered food banks across the province pledging to spread 250-thousand dollars around the Saskatchewan outlets.
The campaign ends December 31st.
