Saskatchewan Polytechnic says the work it does has a $2.2 billion impact on the provincial economy. That’s the result of an economic impact analysis completed by labour market analyst, ‘Emsi.” The school’s President and CEO, Doctor Larry Rosia says, “One out of every 24 jobs in Saskatchewan is supported by the activities of Sask Polytech, its students, and alumni.” The report claims that, on average, taxpayers will see a 12.4 per cent annual internal rate of return for every tax dollar spent in support of Sask Polytech. The documents says, over his or her lifetime, a graduate will earn $505 thousand more than someone who holds a high school diploma.
