A boarded up, apparently vacant house, caught fire this morning (mon). Saskatoon fire crews started getting calls about quarter-after-one. When firefighters arrived, they could see flames on the exterior; second level, rear of the home on the 16 hundred block or Avenue C North. That was quickly extinguished and crew swept through the house, making sure there was no one inside and extinguishing hot spots in the walls and ceiling. Because of an arcing power line, Saskatoon Light and Power were called in to shut down the line. No one was hurt. There is no damage estimate or cause known as yet.
