The Saskatchewan Federation of Wildlife will soon launch a survey to find what has happened since the province closed 19 Ministry of Environment walk-in offices.
Federation Executive Director Darrell Crabbe says their office has been getting dozens of calls each week since the closures nine months ago.
Crabbe says they’re getting many permit and licensing inquiries as well as reports of highway accidents involving deer.
He says the most frequent question has been about drop off locations for chronic waste disease head testing.
The Federation is gearing up for its February convention in Weyburn and Crabbe hopes to discuss the results with delegates and formulate recommendations for the province.
