If you haven’t taken your Christmas recycling out yet, here’s what can and can’t be recycled from your gift wrap. City of Saskatoon spokesperson, Amber Weckworth says foil wrapping paper with coating shouldn’t be put in the blue bins. Ribbons, bows and gift bags are also not recyclable, but can be saved to use again next year. Otherwise, if you can rip it, you can recycle it. If there is too much recycling for your bin, you can take the extra to any recycling depot, but Weckworth asks that they not be overfilled.
City crews will be out tomorrow (Sat) to pick up waste and recycling originally scheduled for Christmas Day and New Year’s Day pickup has been rescheduled to January 4th.
