The Saskatoon Airport Authority considers 2020 a planning year.
The facility underwent the installation of a more efficient baggage system last year along with an improved curb front outside the terminal along with additional parking options.
She feels they have achieved their goals of safer and more efficient movement of people and vehicles at the airport.
Vice President of Business Development and Service Quality C-J Dushinski says the authority will make sure the building blocks are in place next year for the following twenty years of infrastructure improvements.
Dushinski also says they are always looking to add year-round trans-border hub service but their priority remains serving existing carriers to ensure their needs are met.
She feels a slower economy and the grounding of Max Aircraft has affected passenger volume in 2019 but says the authority expects it to hit about 1.5 million by the end of the year, around the same level as 2018.
