It was not a happy New Year’s Eve for 14 drivers pulled over in the Saskatoon and area check-stop campaign.
One was arrested for exceeding a .08 reading and another for refusing to give a breath sample.
Eight got three-day license suspensions for going over .04 and another two new drivers got 60-day suspensions for the same reason.
A three day suspension was handed to one driver who tested positive for T-H-C while a new driver who also tested positive will lose their license for 60-days.
In all cases the vehicles were impounded.
City police and the Saskatoon Highway Patrol combined to check over 400 drivers.
