There was mild weather to begin the season for the BHP Enchanted Forest and it will be the same to end the outdoor light display on Saturday night. The mild weather in November brought 92-hundred people for opening night, which was a Saskatchewan Blue Cross Light Walk.
Because it’s expected to be a busy night on Saturday at the Enchanted Forest in the Forestry Farm Park, spokesperson Hugh Vassos says there are a few more volunteers to help out and he suggests coming early to give yourself more time.
Gates open at 5:30 and the Light Walk continues until 9 p.m. Parking is available at the nearby Holy Family Cathedral parking lot.
He advises, for safety reasons, walkers must stay on the roadway and make sure to wear appropriate clothing and footwear. It may be icy on the road. Admission is $5 per person or $20 for immediate family and children under 5 are admitted free.
Proceeds from the Enchanted Forest are split between the Saskatoon City Hospital Foundation and the Saskatoon Forestry Farm Park and Zoo.
