Various rate and fee changes took effect January 1st in Saskatoon. There are no rate changes, however, for the Gordie Howe campground, leisure centres, indoor rinks or golf courses.
If you get a parking ticket it’s still 20 bucks so it won’t cost any more this year however if your vehicle is impounded there is an increase in multiple fees.
There will be no change in the cost of getting a business license nor any change to the cost of taking a bus however your overall water and wastewater rates in Saskatoon go up by 4.1 per cent, average utility rates increase by 2.4 per cent in 2020. You now pay $65 dollars a year for a Green cart, up from $55 – that’s the early bird rate.
To have your dog licensed, the cost goes up between one to two dollars and for cats, which are not spayed or neutered, there is a four dollar increase in your pet license.
