It appears communities north of Saskatoon were hit the hardest by Wednesday’s blowing snowstorm.
Environment Canada says Holbein led the province with almost 18 cm, about 16 cm fell on Rabbit Lake, while the Prince Albert area including Emma Lake is digging out from about 15 cm or about six inches of snow and close to 7.5 cm fell in Melfort .
Environment Canada estimates Saskatoon and area got between 5-and-8 cm and Regina between 2-and-4 cm.
Weather officials say it’s difficult to pin down specific amounts in those regions because of Wednesday’s strong wind.
Elsewhere Codette received close to 15 cm while another West-Central community Theodore got almost 11.5 cm.
Fort Qu’Appelle checks in at about 5 cm while Assiniboia and Estevan received 2.5 cm.
