The C-E-O of the Meewasin Valley Authority says their 2018-19 annual report is focused on their goals of conservation, education and development.
Andrea Lafond feels it highlights their work toward an environmentally healthy river valley through the resource management plan while building a sense of community.
The report also indicates Saskatoon and area residents are well aware of what they are doing.
Survey results include the fact 96-percent of respondents know about the authority and 87-percent agreed Meewasin improves the quality of life offered in Saskatoon and area.
Lafond says educational programs involving about 35-hundred students each year help promote the authority’s vision and goals.
She says in addition to arranged interpretive tours, students are exploring on their own learning about nature and the culture surrounding it.
