CAA Saskatchewan says because of the cold weather, it has received an influx of calls for tow trucks and battery boosts.
Spokesperson Christine Niemczyk says at times on Wednesday operators are unable to give an estimated time of arrival, adding that first thing Wednesday morning it was a 2-3 hour wait.
She says there are simple things to do to ensure you can get on with your day like making sure your extension cord isn’t frayed and is plugged into a proper power source. She also advises drivers to check the battery.
Niemczyk adds that you should also have an emergency kit in your car, which includes extra clothes, food and flashlight, in case you get trapped on the road.
