The Regina Police Service says three men have been arrested after a complex investigation into recent thefts from heavy duty trucks. Exhaust system components were allegedly stolen from 21 heavy duty commercial trucks in Regina. The first theft was November 22nd.
On January 4th, members of the Regina Police Service Property Crimes Unit arrested 2 men in the maintenance yard of a business in the 1-thousand block of Albert Street. A third man was arrested on the 8th.
30 year old Logan Thompson and 27 year old Adam Metz of Regina are each facing 7 charges of theft over $5-thousand and 3 counts of break, enter and theft. 32 year old Esmat Mumtaz of Regina is charged with possession of stolen property over $5-thousand and trafficking in stolen property.
Regina Police say the investigation isn’t over. Officers are looking into other similar offences.
