The Saskatoon Ice Unit arrested a man last Friday wanted on outstanding child pornography and breach of probation warrants in connection to two Regina Internet Child Exploitation investigations.
Police say that in January last year, while on probation, the accused was allegedly found in possession of a device that contained child pornography.
In April of 2019, the police investigation led them to a Moose Jaw location where they tracked down the sharing of child pornography on a social media application. That’s where they came across 31 year old Ryan Avery Nicholson of Saskatoon suspect who had reportedly moved without advising of a change of address.
He was also found in breach for being in possession of a cellular device that can access the internet. That device is now undergoing forensic analysis.
Nicholson will be in Regina court January 20th to face six charges.
The Saskatchewan ICE Unit is comprised of investigators from the RCMP, Regina Police Service, Saskatoon Police Service and Prince Albert Police Service.
