The Alberta RCMP Major Crimes Unit is investigating a homicide.

Police have confirmed a 27-year-old man from Brooks found dead on a rural road south of Medicine Hat on Monday died suspiciously.

Redcliff RCMP say the homicide determination was made after an autopsy earlier this week in Calgary.

Police are not releasing the victim’s name and don’t believe the public is at risk.
