The Canadian Junior Curling Championships continue today and run through Sunday in Langley, B-C. Both the Junior Women and Junior Men’s titles are up for grabs with 14 teams in each gender division, split into two pools for preliminary round-robin play. After that is complete, the 14 teams will be split into championship and seeding pools for more round-robin play after which the playoffs will be held based on the final standings in the championship pool. On the women’s side, Saskatchewan is represented by the Ashley Thevenot foursome from the Saskatoon-Sutherland club. They have 3 wins, 0 losses…good for 1st place in Pool A. On their schedule today…

The Western Hockey League is off until Wednesday when 3 games are scheduled. The Saskatoon Blades are idle until Friday when they host the Medicine Hat Tigers. Game time is 7 p.m. at SaskTel Centre.
