Statistics Canada says non-residential construction investment fell 1.9 per cent in Saskatchewan in November. Three other provinces were in negative territory with only Newfoundland and Labrador experiencing a larger decline at 5.9 per cent. The national average was a slight increase of 0.8 per cent. Investment in Saskatchewan in November came in at $124.2 million.
In terms of residential construction, investment here was up 5.7 per cent. That was, by far, the best of the provinces. The national average was actually a decline of 0.2 per cent. Saskatchewan saw investment totaling about $170 million in November.
