A semi tanker fire blocked Highway 11 in both direction northwest of Chamberlain around eight o’clock last night (mon). Craik RCMP were advising drivers to stay away from the area. The fire appears to have started in the rear running gear. A couple of hour later, police indicated that traffic had returned to normal for the next two or three hours when the southbound lane would be closed again while the product the tanker was carrying was transferred to another tanker. That was expected to take a couple of hours. No other details have been released.
