Don’t worry RiderNation…you aren’t losing a home game this season! But, the C-F-L is expected to announce Thursday that the July 25 game between the Saskatchewan Roughriders and the Argonauts, originally scheduled for Toronto, will be played at Saint Mary’s University in Halifax.
The July 25 game will be the first regular season C-F-L game ever played in the Nova Scotia capital. The C-F-L hasn’t been in the Atlantic’s largest city since a pre-season game in 2005 between Hamilton and the Argos while a second pre-season game scheduled the year after was cancelled. The C-F-L has awarded an expansion franchise for Halifax…pending the building of a new stadium. The C-F-L played a regular season game in Moncton, New Brunswick last season between Montreal and Toronto. There have been four regular season games played in Moncton since 2010.
