A 27 year old man is facing charges after a suspect entered and robbed a business on the 400 block of Russell Road, all under the watchful eye of the Police Air Support Unit. It happened at 3:30 this morning (fri). The suspect used a metal bar to break the glass of the store’s locked front door before entering and demanding cash and cigarettes. A staff member inside wasn’t hurt. The suspect ran off but Air Support was able to direct ground units to a backyard on Verbeke Road where the suspect was arrested. They also recovered cash and cigarettes. The suspect is charged with robbery.
