Prince Albert Police say a woman has been defrauded out of over $17-thousand through a phone and computer scam.
The victim was contacted earlier this month by someone she thought was from her local bank.
The fraudster said they had detected 2 suspicious transactions, so the woman agreed to give them access to her computer online.
Police say the scammers called her numerous times and she ended up transferring $15-thousand and purchased several Google Play cards and gave them the validation codes.
Police advise not sending money or gift cards to an unknown person or location without confirming they are who they say they are.
If you think your bank account, credit cards or other identification may be compromised, hang up the phone and contact your bank or the police.
